In addition, I attended stand-alone workshops on the bandhas, the subtle body (chakras), Ayurveda, pranayama and mantra.

About Emily . . .
Emily is a certified (200-hour level) yoga instructor and graduate of the Kriya Temple of Chicago’s Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program. She studied at the Kriya Temple of Yoga, a renowned program and one of the longest-established in the country, which teaches the various techniques of yoga, with a rigor and background knowledge of the body’s anatomy and systems.
We spend much of our lives abstracting from our physical nature. Yoga is a way to rebuild the pathways between our external senses and our internal experience of life. It reconnects us to the body, from the skin on down to the very cells. Yoga promotes health throughout the body, including the circulatory, digestive, and cardiovascular systems, a calm and focused awareness, and it also naturally supports transformation in life. Emily teaches through relating the various movements and breathing practices to the body and the systems of the body, in a down-to-earth way that allows students to understand the techniques of yoga and how they work. She aims to acquaint both new and more seasoned practitioners with the building blocks that support a personal daily practice.
