Check out my segment on FOX 32 News Chicago! What’s it all about? It’s not surprising that 1 in 3 Americans set a goal of packing lunch each year. But why?


Studies show you can save over $4000 per year and your waistline, too. Those that planned and packed their lunch were more likely to be at a healthier weight than those to skipped lunch or picked something in a pinch. Children are also more likely to create habits at a young age when their parents are modeling. We’re all so busy, so what can you do to save time and be healthy at the same time?


Your lunch should include 5 components in order to keep you feeling full and avoid unnecessary cravings. How to avoid the trip to the vending machine or the candy jar that always sits on your neighbor’s desk? Make sure to include a good protein,  healthy fat, quality carbohydrate and fresh fruits and vegetables. Get more ideas here:
