About Emely

Emely Flores Lacayo hails from the Garifuna community in Honduras and has been residing in the United States since 2015. She has crafted a life filled with movement, rhythm, and purpose. As a certified Zumba instructor, she infuses joy, energy, and cultural pride into every class she leads, whether at LA Fitness or within community spaces.

Music and movement have always been integral to her identity. Her teaching journey started in a Montessori classroom, where she dedicated over seven years to guiding young children in discovery, creativity, and building confidence. This same passion for nurturing others fuels her Zumba instruction, as she firmly believes in dance’s ability to uplift, connect, and transform individuals, regardless of age or background.

Outside the studio, Emely is a proud mother to a 13-year-old son, a Montessori teacher, a jewelry maker, a face painter, and an active member of her community. Whether she’s leading a toddler classroom, organizing a cultural event, or choreographing an energetic Zumba routine, she always strives to create an environment filled with joy, movement, and a sense of belonging.
