About Mirella

Mirella’s enthusiasm and positive attitude is contagious.   She is always looking for the best solution to meet the individual needs and learning abilities of the children she coaches. She has experience with a variety of special needs, including autism, Down Syndrome and Asperger’s Syndrome.  Her top priority is to help kids fall in love with swimming while being safe.

When she is not teaching swim lessons, she works part time as a nanny during the summer months.  Along with swimming, she loves to dance, hike, read and journal.  Her favorite swim stroke is the backstroke because she loves soaking up the sun while she swims.  Her favorite game to play in the pool is diving for toys.  She is pursuing a degree  in psychology at Arizona State University.
