About Amy . . .
Amy Hirt is a E-RYT 500, YACEP yoga teacher. She has been a Yogi most of her life beginning her practice at the age of 5 when her mother began practicing yoga. Amy received her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training while living in a far northern suburb of Chicago in 2014 through the Emerald Heart School of Yoga. She has gone on to study with Kary Craftsow, Viniyoga Yoga Therapy and various other amazing teachers and trainers to complete her 500-RYT certification. Amy has taught at multiple yoga studios in the North Chicago Suburbs as well as several studios in the Indianapolis area. She has taught various forms of yoga from beginners to advance practices including Aerial Yoga. Amy has facilitated 200-hour YTT programs as well as facilitating Aerial Yoga Teacher Training. In addition, Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years’ experience as a psychotherapist. Amy understands and has seen the healing power of yoga firsthand and hopes to blend her clinical skills along with her yoga knowledge and skills to build a holistic approach to health, wellness and healing as a Yoga Therapist. She is currently working toward and hopes to complete a second master’s degree, a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy to become a certified Yoga Therapist.
