About Gretchen

Gretchen Clore is an E-RYT 200, YACEP yoga teacher. She has been a Yogi most of her life beginning her practice at the age of 9 when she got hold of a copy of Beverly & Vidal Sassoon’s book, A Year of Beauty and Health. Gretchen earned her 200- and 300-hour yoga teaching certification through YogaWorks in Los Angeles, studying under Carmen Fitzgibbon, Gigi Snyder, and Thomas Taubman. In 2023, she earned her Level 1 Ayurvedic Wellness Coach certification through Katie Silcox’s Shakti School. Prior to returning to Indiana in 2018, Gretchen taught in Los Angeles, where she ran her own yoga studio for 2-1/2 years. Gretchen’s current work includes Gentle and Beginning Yoga classes at the Monon Community Center, pro bono Chair Yoga at the Zionsville Public Library, and “Yoga At Your Desk” continuing education programs for the National Exercise Trainer’s Association. Prior to teaching yoga, Gretchen worked as a fundraiser for various nonprofits in San Francisco, Boston, and LA.

Gretchen gets a lot of satisfaction and happiness from helping others, and seeing the transformations they undergo as they begin to experience the gifts of yoga and overall fitness. Some of her favorite experiences teaching yoga include the Indiana  Department of Natural Resources Annual Women’s Wellness Retreat at Turkey Run State Park; the OPTIONS program for the Noblesville Juvenile Detention Center; and an outdoor yoga benefit for the National Eating Disorders Association at Sun King Brewery.
