June 20, 2014

Cool Down with a Healthy Treat!

There is nothing better than a good ol’ smoothie in the morning (or any time, really) on a hot summer day.  Smoothies are not only loaded with vitamins and minerals, they taste delicious.  Starting your day on the good foot usually helps you make better choices when it comes to food for the rest of the day.  Listed are some of my top smoothie recipes!  Go grab your blender and let’s make this summer a super healthy one!

Green Smoothie:

1 banana

½ cup frozen berries (can be a single kind of berry or mixed)

1-1  ½ frozen banana

1-2  tbsp all natural peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice!)
