About Dakota
Dakota graduated from Bradley University in 2017 with a degree in Community Health and Wellness after a change in major from Biomechanical Engineering. While in school, he underwent a complete ACL and Meniscus repair that reignited his passion for health and wellness. Since graduating Dakota has acted as health educator in various capacities in emergency rooms, clinics, nonprofits and recently in the employee wellness sector. He’s organized and implemented many health education interventions, including the Diabetes Prevention Program where he served as the program manager as well as a lifestyle coach.
He loves hosting group health education classes as a way to create a safe and comfortable space for individuals to relate and be open with one another. Dakota also has acted as a health coach, helping individuals to set and meet wellness goals to prevent or delay the onset of chronic conditions. He has worn many hats on his wellness journey and has acted as a health coach, a nutrition counselor, a personal trainer and even a lactation consultant.
Dakota has a mantra that he lives by and it’s, “We are all health educators”. Meaning that once you help someone learn about their health, they’ll go along to teach someone else and so on and so forth until we are all living our healthiest lives.
